Vinyasa means "move with breath". The continual movements, from one pose to another, gives you an added cardiovascular benefit, which more traditional forms of yoga do not have. The routine practice of vinyasa yoga can increase muscle strength, endurance and flexibility, and reduce levels of stress. This class is for all levels but can be a bit more vigorous.

Moderate Vinyasa Flow: 4:00pm-5:15pm - Vinyasa means "move with breath". Gentle Yoga For Weight Loss & Stress Reduction: 5:30-6:30 pm - A slower moving class that is great for beginners, seniors, and people who are new to yoga. This class focuses on stretching, flexibility and breathing with an intention of releasing stress. This class is less intense and strenuous and recommended for those who are simply looking for a more relaxed workout. This practice can also be beneficial to those who already are quite fit but who lack the overall flexibility to be able to do some of the more intense.

Yoga is a mind/body discipline focusing on a series of physical asanas (postures) combined with breathing techniques that helps to balance the mind, body and spirit. Regular Yoga practice strengthens the bones, joints, muscles and ligaments. Balance, both physical and emotional is integrated into practice. Yoga practice helps make us acutely aware of the present moment giving us useful tools of focus, clarity and meaningfulness that we carry into our everyday lives. 


Thursday 5 - 6 pm Power Yoga

 This class will be a more vigorous flowing class for those who want to build strength, flexibility, endurance, cardio with weight loss benefits. You are sure to build some heat and get a bit sweaty. The class will incorporate elements of Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga while bringing forth self-awareness, mental focus and breath work. This class will be more fast paced,very rhythmic music that is upbeat and inspiring to get your yogi grove goin'!


Friday 9:30-10:30 am Yoga for Everyone

This class is appropriate for beginner level students as well as students who want bring a bit of a challenge to their yoga practice. Breathing and relaxation techniques will be incorporated with asanas, vinyasa and Hatha yoga. We will start out slow and build on the basic poses.

Enjoy this dynamic, vigorous class that links movement with breath for a transformative and balancing effect. Room temperature will be set at 88 degrees. Prepare to build heat, endurance, flexibility and strength while listening to ancient teachings and uplifting music that can inspire physical and energetic shifts and leave you feeling incredible! NOTES: This class is for students with a regular yoga practice.Spa amenities not available for use after this class.

This dynamic, energetic class helps cultivate self-awareness as you awaken the breath, promote circulation, discover your limits and move beyond them. Come ready to explore and to flow in this open level class.


Sunday 10-11:15 am Hot Core Rock Yoga

O Yoga Studio,  1003 West Fayette Street #400, Syracuse, NY,  315-314-7754, www.theoyogastudio.com $15 drop in fee  It’s HOT, it’s CORE intensive, and the music is cranking! This vigorous vinyasa flow class will be set to a lively playlist of anything from hip hop to rock, so be prepared to move, sweat and have fun!

 

 


Private Sessions - $60 per hour

We can tailor a practice based on your personal intentions and needs. I will lead you through a personalized sessions focusing on breathing, relaxation, meditation techniques as well as asanas. I will be able to show you modifications based on your personal needs and will be able to make adjustments to assure proper alignment.
